Loch Ness

Taken from Urquhart Castle in 2005.

Urquhart Castle is a fabulous ruin on the shores of Loch Ness, from where you can take a boat trip out onto the loch itself. It’s always extremely busy with tourists, so best to visit early.

Just before I took this photo, and with my camera still in it’s case, an RAF Tornado bomber roared up the loch, no more than 200 feet above the surface. Nice work if you can get it! Think it scared away Nessie though…
