Taken on a frosty December morning in 2005 at Lyveden New Bield, Northamptonshire.
Lyveden New Bield is a stone house designed by Thomas Tresham, partly built but never finished due to his imprisonment for his religious beliefs. The adjacent gardens were only recently discovered, and have revealed a series of lakes around two man made ‘snail mounds’, set amongst what were to be ornamental gardens. Very nice and well worth a visit.
